If you are a senior lady (and that means "well seasoned"), then you are invited to a very special luncheon on a very special day once a month.  You will enjoy a catered lunch by one of our famous local chefs as well as a short Christian video, some music, meaningful devotions and LOTS of great fellowship and laughter.

This wonderful time takes place in the church social hall on the

3rd Wednesday each month at 11:00 am 

RSVP is a must.

Hand Bell Choir

A beautiful part of our history and our present worship, is our hand bell choir.  Currently at about 12 members, the bell choir performs monthly during worship as well as being invited to perform at other churches and community events.  The director is always searching for new members - no experience is required!

Holiday Choir

A special churchwide holiday choir is formed at Eastertime and Christmastime for these special services.  All are welcome and often a children's choir participates as well.

Worship Team

The worship style at FPC is combined contemporary with new worship choruses and traditional hymns.  Singing is led by three to four worship leaders on microphone accompanied by a pianist and/or a soundtrack.  Words to songs are projected on two large video screens.

Anyone is welcome to try-out for the worship team.  Multiple teams alternate weekends so everyone gets a chance to lead each month.  Worship team practices once a week on Thursday evenings.

This incredible ministry is truly a gift of love!  Prayer quilts are made and delivered to people in need of prayer.  This group of God's servants meets once a month for cutting, sewing, ironing, quilting and of course PRAYING every step of the way!  No experience is necessary.  If you would just like to cut fabric and pray or learn to quilt and pray, please join in.

Christmas

Drive-Thru

Every December, the entire congregation of FPC Gridley joins in an outreach to our community.  Our city block is closed off and 14 scenes from the life of Christ come alive along our church property.  Scenes from Christ's birth, childhood, ministry, crucifixtion and the miracle of the resurrection are displayed and acted by more than 100 child and adult actors in beautiful costume.  Visitors are given a narrative CD to listen to in their warm car as they drive slowly by the living scenes.  The drive thru ends with an explanation of how to invite Christ into your life.
